Julia + Moroni
This girl near and dear to my heart, my first and closest friend while I lived in Portland, found her person just a few months ago. They say when you know, you know, and this was definitely the case for them. Jules and Moroni wasted no time in tying the knot, and I was lucky enough to be invited back to the beautiful PNW to witness the ceremony, and to take some formal portraits of them in their wedding wardrobe. We went to Cape Kiwanda at sunset—a pretty much unbeatable setting—and despite the insane amount of wind that dismantled her curled locks and threatened to ruin the shoot, I’d say we still got some amazing images of them and their unique, genuine love.
To steal a bit from my Maid of Honor wedding toast: Moroni, you are definitely the one for Julia. You have brought understanding and protection and love and fulfillment to her in ways that no other previous lame-o could have. You are her equal, and you have stretched her and opened her up to new interests. (Thanks for the country music exposure!) I know in my heart that you won’t hurt her, and she will never have to shed another tear over some schmuck.
Julia, I adore you. Thank you for inviting me to be a part of your life two years ago, for sharing so many memorable adventures—from Forks to Reno—with me, and for allowing me to be a part of your big day.
Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Bennion!
